This was my individual submission to the Evolo Skyscraper competition, the competition goal was to envision the future of the skyscraper. This was a semester long project for my Fall 2009 architectural design studio.
My project focused on the exploding populations in informal settlements, often called slums, in metropolitan areas around the world. The specific context I choose was the slum of Dharavi in Mumbia, India. The central concept of my project was creating a vertical tower that provided spaces that the informal settlements could "colonize" while bringing them access to resources for education, sanitation and health care they would not normally have.
All modeling, rendering, compositing, and writing by me.
